MIDI Layers is an AUv3 MIDI plugin tailor-made for enabling advanced routing of MIDI data in popular host applications like AUM or Cubasis.

With Layers, you're empowered to establish up to 12 scenes, each supporting a maximum of 127 layers, covering the entirety of your master keyboard. These scenes offer the flexibility to interchange between diverse layer configurations effortlessly during any live performance session.

Each layer governs the MIDI output, which can be channelled to one of MIDI Layers' 16 output ports and 16 channels. Therefore, with 5 layers within a scene, each layer can redirect MIDI key inputs to 5 distinct destinations, empowering you to command 5 instruments from a single master keyboard.

Layers can coincide, paving the way for crafting musical ensembles comprising two or more instruments. Furthermore, layers can feature crossfades, facilitating smooth transitions between instruments over a specified spectrum. You can adjust the velocity curves of a layer if emphasis on note velocity across specific octaves is needed.

Additionally, every layer can be reassigned to target a different key range on the destination instrument. This potentiality enables the creation of various single-note layers specifically targeting particular drum machine samples, for example.

You have the option to assign a song per scene or have multiple scenes containing segments of the same song. The scene transitions are straightforward, accomplished via on-screen scene buttons, AU parameters, or by integrating a dedicated control layer within a scene that can be triggered through your master keyboard.

Moreover, it's feasible to assign Program Changes to a layer. Upon transitioning scenes, each layer can execute its unique program change commands towards your designated instruments.

Every scene is adaptable to its distinct scale, facilitating music creation solely using white notes and eliminating erroneous notes from your compositions.

Lastly, layers can be grouped into mute groups, offering swift activation/deactivation of layer clusters with just a single keystroke or button press.
